I keep thinking it's Saturday

sophiapAlthough I did get a call from work, from someone who needed to be walked through the steps for setting up a video conference. I'm not sure how I became our department's de-facto help desk. I didn't mind the call, though. It reassured me that someone would call if something truly dire happened that I needed to know about.
Maybe the fact that SPN is not on makes it feel less like Friday. Anyhow, tonight I'm watching watching a few episodes of "Once Upon a Time." There are so many series I'd like to catch up on (Fringe, H5O, Breaking Bad, Justified, Burn Notice), but the backlog seems daunting. I've also gotten way, way behind on all the manga series I follow. I think it's been about five months or so. Tomorrow's going to be cold and rainy, so wacthing and reading should be a good way to spend a ghastly day.
Writing-wise, it feels strange not to have an imminent deadline. Yes, SPN reversebang is due on 12/5, but my draft is done, and now I'm just waiting on beta comments and artist input. Even if I don't get comments back until next week, I've still got plenty of time. It's... odd. Also, I managed to knock out a chunk of Christmas shopping today thanks to a walk into town and a little time on Amazon. There are some things I'll have to get closer to the holiday (consumables) and I have some knitting to do (or redo), but having that much off the checklist feels good.
