I am looking forward to tomorrow's episode of Sherlock.

At the same time, I am dreading it more than I have ever dreaded the season finale of any TV series ever. EVER.

I just know it will break my heart, if it goes anything like the way the original ACD canon did. And the fact that this episode is happening before a hella long hiatus with no confirmation of a season three makes things just that much worse.

On the other hand...

Anyone with more than a passing familiarity with the base canon knows what happens at Reichenbach Falls and afterwards. Just as anyone who read The Hound of the Baskervilles would know that Dr. Stapleton (she of the glowing bunny) was the vill--

Ah.

Right.

I do not put it past Moffat and Gatiss to pull some sort of fast one on us. Most likely a painful fast one, but a fast one all the same.

I don't expect this will happen, but if it does, I won't be 100% surprised, either.

I'll just sit here and mutter, "DAMN YOU, GUYS! LET THE MAN HAVE HIS BEES."

I have been having very similar thoughts, which kind of makes the tension worse (I call it dramatic irony, even though it isn't, quite). "I know things, but I don't really know things because they know I know things, and they might just fuck with me."

Martin has said that he'd like to do more series of Sherlock. This gives me hopes. But, then, he might be fucking with us, too.
