... and I'm gonna go see Avengers again, this time with my dad. Who, may I note, had originally suggested going to go see Battleship. Ahahahaha... no. I love my dad, but he is not so much with the common sense sometimes.

Afterwards, I'm hoping to spend some time writing (I have a chapter of WW to block out, and I'm also working on a scene of Mycroft Holmes vs. Cal Lightman - so much fun) and drawing (SPN BB), but a lot of today will also be taken up by clearing as much stuff out of my bedroom and office as I possibly can. Demolition work on those two rooms will begin either Wednesday or Thursday.

I don't think I've mentioned it here before, but I'm going to be having some major work done in the house. My house technically has four bedrooms (two upstairs, two downstairs), but as with most 1940s construction, the rooms are tiny by today's standards, and the closets are teeny-tiny. So, the two downstairs bedrooms (the bedroom and an office which I rarely use) are getting knocked together into a larger bedroom that will have room for a reading nook and a closet that is larger than a Frigidaire. The renovation will also have the advantage of blocking out the northern window which faces the rear neighbors who apparently have put Kleig lights over their deck. Those things will cut through every blackout curtain known to man. Also it will be nice not to have to contort myself to get between the bed and the far wall whenever I change the sheets.

There's part of me that is very excited by all of this, and part of me that is wondering what the fuck I have gotten myself into.

Studying for the licensing exams continues to go well, but I'm a bit nervous about the upcoming checkpoint exam on Monday.

I'm excited for you. That's a big renovation, but it will be a really nice change once it's done. Losing northern exposure is good in terms of winter efficiency, too. Will it be the closet that blocks it off? That's a really good use of north-facing space.

Good luck with the exam!

So exciting! I love a good renovation--well, once it's done. But getting it done is tough--but look at the payoff! Also, go you with the work stuff!
