... I will get up and start dealing with the mound of papers and craft supplies that I hauled out of my office in preparation for demolition and remodeling. I am also trying to convince myself that no, I do not need to go to the nursery to ogle (and very likely buy) plants.

Demolition starts Tuesday. Nerves and anxiety are setting in, and I'm still debating if it will be less stressful for my fourteen-year-old kitty if we relocate to the peace and quiet and strangeness of my mom's place (she's out of town) or stay in his familar territory with all the chaos.

In other news, while the studying for my licensing exams continues to go very well, studying for 8+ hours a day for an exam that I have one chance to pass is more mentally exhausting than I had anticipated. I ended up sleeping for nearly 11 hours the other night. Whoops. It also means that I haven't had the brain space to write as much as I would have liked, but it has put me in a perfect mood to draw. It's a different kind of thinking, and some of it - especially things like capturing light and shadow in the folds of cloth - is downright meditative.

Speaking of drawing, I have finished the not-so-rough draft of the banner for my SPN BB assignment. The hand-drawn components are done, but I'm still futzing with the graphics editing. Anyhow, it's done enough that I wouldn't feel embarrassed if I had to post it as-is. Also, when I was at the local art supply store, I signed up to take a Basic Bookbinding class. Woot! That should be fun.

I can't wait to see your art!

I can't advise you on whether to relocate or not--you can always do that, I suppose, a day or so into the chaos, if J really finds it unbearable. I'd give staying home a try at least for a day or two.

I know what you mean about "a whole different head"--not what you said but what I heard--in drawing vs. verbal concentration. I'm glad your art is making you happy. Words later.
