1. What kind of soap is in your bathtub right now?
Kiss My Face olive oil soap, and a bottle of Aveeno pomegranate bodywash.
2. Do you have any watermelon in your refrigerator?
No.
3. Is there anything moldy in your refrigerator?
No.
4. What would you change about your living room?
I want to convert my gas fireplace back to a wood-burning one.
5. Are the dishes in your dishwasher clean or dirty?
Currently dirty. It'll probably be full enough for me to run a load after dinner tonight.
6. Do you have a can of mushrooms in your pantry?
Yuck. No.
7. White or wheat/brown bread?
It depends? I generally don't keep bread in the house, and what I get when I order out depends on what is going on/in the bread.
8. What is on top of your refrigerator?
Nothing. Not a fan of clutter.
9. What color is your sofa?
Light brown, to match the cat's undercoat. It makes a huge difference. Also, with all the books, textiles, porcelain, etc. in the living room, I needed a neutral.
10. What color or design is on your shower curtain?
White waffle-weave cotton.
11. How many plants are in your home?
None. All plants are outdoor plants because otherwise the cat will eat them.
12. How many candles are in your home?
Lots? Probably a good dozen or so. I'm a sucker for scented candles.
13. Is your bed made right now?
Nope. It gets made about four days out of every week, depending on my mood/how much time I have in the a.m.
14. If you have a coffee pot, what color is it?
Stainless steel with black accents.
15. Electric or standard can opener?
Standard.

Both, but I primarily use Barkeeper's Friend.
17. Is your closet organized?
Yup.
18. What color is the flashlight that you use the most?
Black with an orange collar.
19. What kinds of things are in your junk drawer?
A hammer, a few glass jars of nails and screws, tape, batteries, spare keys, gloves, hats, the cat's harness and leash, a book of paint samples, a flashlight.
20. Do you drink out of glass or plastic most of the time at home?
It varies. I use glass for beer, wine, and hard liquor, but I have a plastic tumbler I keep full of water and with me at all times.
21. Do you have iced tea made in a pitcher right now?
No.
22. If you have a garage, is it cluttered?
I have a garage, and it is relatively uncluttered. It has some construction stuff in there at the moment from the renovations, and several bags of mulch.
23. Curtains or blinds?
Plantation shutters. Gorgeous, but a nuisance to dust.
24. How many pillows do you sleep with?
One. I have way more than that on my bed, but they get tossed aside when I'm done reading/net surfing for the night.
25. Do you sleep with any lights on at night?
Oh, hell no. Even the ambient light that makes it through my shutters is on the edge of too much.

Four
27. How often do you vacuum?
Once a week.

White and blue.

I have a rubber mat that looks like an old cast-iron grate.

Oven racks, broiler pan.

At the moment, clean.

A few dust bunnies.

Ironing. Dull, dull, dull.

Scads of Halls and Harlequin dishware, several 1900s floor lamps, Bakelite-handled kitchen utensils, and an actual Bakelite rotary phone (it works).
35. Do you have a separate room that you use as an office?
Not any more. Now that my two downstairs rooms have been combined, my desk is in my bedroom. I only pay bills there. If I bring home work from work, I generally set up at the kitchen counter.
36. If you have a yard, who mows it?
I have a yard, and I outsource the mowing. I take care of all the other yardwork, but I don't even own a lawn mower.
37. Is there anything on your kitchen floor right now?
A hand-painted floor cloth featuring morning glories and an orange kitty.
38. How many mirrors are in your home?
Medicine cabinet mirrors in bathrooms, tole-painted wall-mirror in bedroom. Various cosmetic mirrors tucked away in medicine cabinets, drawers, and purses.
39. Do you have any hidden emergency money around your home?
No.
40. What color are your walls?
Living room = light blue with white and coral accents. Bedroom = mossy green. Kitchen = mustard yellow. Upstairs bedrooms = unspeakable and will be repainted this winter.
41. Which rooms in your house have wallpaper?
Just the bathrooms, and it is hideous. The upstairs bathroom has a Florida motif which would be adorable (very 1950s) if it wasn't such a poor job. The downstairs bathroom is a yellow diamond pattern which doesn't go with the 50's green at all. In terms of household renovations, the bathrooms are low on the list, so I'll probably have the wallpaper for a few more years.
42. Do you have a peephole in your front door?
No.
43. Do you keep any kind of protection weapons in your home?
No.
44. What does your home smell like right now?
Mint/lavender dish soap, pancetta.

I don't display pictures. Not sure why that is, but I don't feel a need.

Full bible? Brown faux-leather. It's a wee bible I refer to as the KJV Eyestrain Edition. The favorite is just the NT in greek and it's burgundy.
49. Do you have plenty of cabinet space in your kitchen?
Yes, partially because of the HUGE sideboard which sits along one wall of the kitchen. I also have a closet in addition to cabinets.

Oh, hell no. It's not the being on the roof thing that bothers me - it's that I'm seriously phobic about being up on a ladder.

52. How many TVs do you have?
Just the one, and it's shut in a cabinet. People have given me strange looks when I tell them I have no desire to have a TV in the bedroom.

Four. One wall phone in the kitchen and two cordless which always migrate to odd places. Antique phone which lives upstairs.
54. Do you have a housekeeper?
No. I do bring someone in to help with a super-heavy cleaning about four times a year, but otherwise, I manage on my own.
55. What style do you decorate in?
Furniture tends toward classic English, accented with antique porcelain (Chinese and English). I love antiques, and I've grown to prefer things that are less blocky than mission style. I tend towards under rather than over statement, and prefer not to have too many things cluttering tabletops.
56. Do you like solid colors in furniture or prints?
It varies. I have solid colors in the living room, but I have patterned pillows and a patterned rug. Upholstered furniture in the sun room and bedrooms is floral chintz.
57. Is there a smoke detector in your home?
Three. One in the basement, one outside the kitchen, one upstairs
58. In case of fire, what are the items you would grab if you only could make one quick trip?
Cat, computer, purse

Yup. All breakers are labeled, and I've figured out the few that aren't labeled correctly.
60. What temperature in your home is most comfortable to you?
About 70 degrees or so in the winter, between 70 and 75 in the summer. If at all possible, I prefer not to use artificial climate control

How about I do your ironing and you vacuum for me? I learned to appreciate ironing technique when I restored vintage clothing, dressed dolls, and sewed replicas and costumes. It's sort of zen.
